Saffron Walden County High School is a mixed 11-18 comprehensive school, serving the town of Saffron Walden.  We are committed to providing an education of exceptional quality for every child in our local community.  

We have designed a broad and ambitious curriculum that ensures our students achieve exceptionally well.  We also ensure that all of our students experience a wealth of additional opportunities and we are particularly proud of our rich and exciting extra-curricular programme which supports our student’ enjoyment of school and their wider development.  Pastoral care is also central to our school as we want all of our students to feel happy and supported at school and to leave us as confident, articulate, well-informed, and considerate young adults. 

Saffron Walden County High School also has a thriving sixth form, the quality of which is demonstrated by the fact that so many sixth form learners gain places at the most competitive universities and courses in the country.
